Job Description
Fairmont & Raffles is seeking a passionate and experienced Sustainability Officer to support the Executive Director in developing and executing Accor’s global sustainability strategy across 100+ hotels. You will be instrumental in rolling out impactful sustainability programs, collaborating with hotel teams, and ensuring compliance with brand-level and group-wide environmental goals.
This role bridges hotel operations with corporate strategy, fostering a culture of sustainability across all departments and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement sustainability strategies aligned with Accor’s KPIs.

Conduct industry analysis to keep sustainability efforts competitive and innovative.

Onboard, train, and guide Hotel Sustainability Managers and Champions.

Create action plans and updated guidance documents to support hotel goals.

Liaise with Accor’s central sustainability team for strategy alignment.

Collaborate with brand departments (Marketing, Procurement, F&B, etc.) to integrate sustainability.

Monitor and report on sustainability performance using Gaia 2.0.

Compile and present monthly progress reports to GMs, VPOs, and COO.

Conduct desktop audits and occasional site visits.

Facilitate regular sustainability calls and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Build partnerships with key stakeholders to support sustainability initiatives.

Anticipate challenges and provide strategic, timely solutions.

Serve as the liaison between hotel teams and senior sustainability leadership.
Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in sustainability management (hospitality/travel preferred).

Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; ability to learn new tools.

Strong organizational and project management skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

Self-motivated, collaborative, detail-oriented, and capable of working under pressure.

Background in hotel operations and university education preferred.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.

Creative problem solver with a proactive approach.
