Account Representative – Traders and Caterings

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated Account Representative specializing in Traders and Caterings to drive sales, promote products, and build long-lasting customer relationships. This outside sales role involves direct customer interaction, product presentations, and strategic account management to meet sales goals and expand market reach.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and establish contact with potential customers.

  • Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing customers to promote product sales.

  • Respond promptly to sales inquiries and deliver detailed account strategies.

  • Conduct product presentations at conferences, client sites, and exhibitions.

  • Meet or exceed annual sales targets and goals.

  • Manage and update the company’s contact database with accurate and current information.

  • Prepare and submit monthly sales reports.

  • Support product development by testing new releases and providing customer feedback.

  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, and other teams to ensure effective communication and service delivery.

  • Identify opportunities for product development and improvement.

  • Motivate sales staff to share relevant market information.

  • Negotiate agreements and close sales deals.

  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify business risks and opportunities.

  • Work towards minimizing product expiry targets.

  • Comply with HACCP and ISO procedures consistently.

  • Attend meetings, training sessions, and other relevant events as required.


Key Qualifications:

  • College or University diploma OR 2-3 years related experience/training.

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in customer-related sales.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other software packages.

  • Knowledge of food product lines and customer base.

  • Valid driving license applicable to the employment location.
