Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Pharmacovigilance Officer to oversee and manage drug safety and compliance activities in accordance with UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) regulations. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate collection, evaluation, and timely reporting of adverse events (AEs) for pharmaceutical products marketed exclusively within the UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Receive, assess, and document adverse event (AE) reports and product complaints.
✔ Submit all AEs to MoHAP within mandated timelines.
✔ Maintain an accurate and compliant Pharmacovigilance System Master File (PSMF).
✔ Act as the key contact for all PV communications and inspections by MoHAP.
✔ Collaborate with cross-functional departments including Regulatory Affairs, QA, and Medical Affairs.
✔ Conduct safety monitoring via local literature review and signal detection.
✔ Ensure compliance with all UAE pharmacovigilance regulations and internal SOPs.
✔ Train internal teams on AE reporting procedures and PV practices.
✔ Support internal audits and MoHAP inspections.
✔ Prepare and submit safety reports, updates, and follow-up documents as per MoHAP guidelines.
Candidate Profile:
🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related scientific field
📅 4–10 years of UAE-based pharmacovigilance or regulatory experience
📑 Deep understanding of MoHAP regulations and safety reporting formats
🗂 Familiarity with safety databases and adverse event coding
🗣 Strong communication in English (Arabic is a plus)
✅ Ability to work autonomously and with multi-disciplinary teams
🧠 Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and a high level of integrity
