Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Programme Vision

Develop and implement a long-term educational vision aligned with the museum’s mission and access goals.

Advocate for the importance of creative learning within cultural and educational contexts.
Programme Delivery & Oversight
-
Design and deliver age-appropriate programming for schools (early years to secondary) including tours, workshops, and digital resources.

Create engaging family experiences such as holiday programmes, sensory-friendly events, and workshops.

Collaborate with artists and curators to offer co-created, artist-led learning experiences.

Ensure all activities are inclusive and accessible.
Team & Stakeholder Management

Lead and inspire a team of educators and freelance staff.

Oversee planning, budgeting, scheduling, evaluation, and reporting.

Ensure safeguarding, risk assessment, and contract compliance.
Outreach & Partnerships

Build partnerships with schools, teachers, families, and local communities.

Represent the museum in education and cultural networks.

Implement outreach strategies to engage underrepresented audiences.
Marketing & Communications

Work with marketing teams to promote programs across platforms effectively.
Requirements:

Proven experience in educational programming within cultural or arts institutions.

Strong understanding of the national curriculum and contemporary education practices.

Expertise in inclusive programming for diverse audiences.

Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Ability to manage stakeholders and build strong external partnerships.
