Nour Arjaan by Rotana is seeking a passionate and dynamic Commis I to join their culinary team. As a Commis I, you will be responsible for daily food preparation and ensuring the highest standards of quality and service in the kitchen. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while enhancing your culinary skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in the daily operations.

Work according to menu specifications provided by the Chef de Partie.

Maintain hygiene standards and cleanliness in the work area as per the hotel’s rules.

Control food stock and manage food costs in your section.
-
Prepare the daily mis-en-place and food production in different sections of the kitchen or satellites.

Follow instructions and recommendations from supervisors to complete daily tasks.

Ensure the highest standards of food quality, keeping up to date with new products, recipes, and techniques.

Coordinate and collaborate with other kitchen sections to meet requirements and ensure cleanliness, cost control, and minimal wastage.
Skills & Qualifications:

Professional kitchen apprenticeship or chef’s training course.

Previous experience in quality establishments with good culinary skills.

Strong knowledge in food preparation, presentation, and preservation.

Ability to communicate in English.

Passionate about food and committed to teamwork and excellent guest experiences.
