Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Logistics Manager to oversee and enhance our logistics, warehousing, and supply chain functions. This role focuses on optimizing operational policies, driving efficiency, and ensuring full compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology logistics, vendor management, and warehousing, with a track record of implementing performance-driven improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and refine logistics and warehouse procedures to close operational gaps and boost overall efficiency.

  • Lead cost-reduction and service enhancement projects using data-driven decision-making and best practices.

  • Define, monitor, and report on KPIs to evaluate logistics and warehousing performance.

  • Produce performance reports and offer strategic insights to senior leadership.

  • Supervise and mentor warehouse and logistics staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Train teams on revised policies and ensure procedural compliance.

  • Collaborate with third-party logistics providers to enhance service quality and control costs.

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors for IT and Telecom products, securing favorable pricing and delivery terms.

  • Strengthen relationships with key suppliers and support contract negotiations with finance teams.

  • Select and manage transportation partners, ensuring cost-effective and regulation-compliant logistics operations.

  • Address and mitigate risks such as delivery delays, product damage, or supply chain disruptions.

  • Oversee accurate inventory management, including RMA and non-conforming goods, with clear tagging and storage procedures.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional departments to ensure seamless product and information flow across the supply chain.

Requirements:

Skills & Competencies:

  • Expertise in technology-based logistics and warehousing.

  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management capabilities.

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in identifying cost-saving opportunities and performance trends.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize under pressure.

  • Proven leadership in policy development and operational strategy.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related fields.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in logistics or warehouse management, preferably in technology distribution.

  • Professional certifications such as APICS or IWLA are a plus.
