Job Purpose:
The MEP Supervisor is responsible for leading mechanical maintenance operations on-site, including repair, inspection, and preventive maintenance activities. This role involves supervising maintenance teams and coordinating with other departments to ensure optimal plant performance and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Function Management:

Supervise day-to-day mechanical maintenance operations on-site

Schedule and coordinate preventive maintenance activities
-
Issue work orders and follow up on fault clearance tasks
-
Propose facility improvements to boost reliability and uptime
-
Ensure proper material planning and optimal resource usage
-
Verify compliance with mechanical regulations and safety standards
-
Support onboarding and training for new or modified facilities
-
Maintain and manage availability of tools and testing equipment
-
Communicate job status and technical updates across departments
-
Act as a field-level technical resource
Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment:
-
Enforce safety and fire protection protocols during maintenance
-
Inspect work areas for mechanical or safety issues and report deficiencies
-
Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials
-
Follow Quality Systems Manual procedures
People Management:
-
Supervise, coach, and monitor maintenance personnel
-
Ensure adherence to working time and safety regulations
-
Evaluate employee performance and attendance
-
Support training and development for team members
Skills Required:

Broad knowledge of international standards for maintenance operations
-
Expertise in valve operations and heavy lifting
-
Strong decision-making and leadership capabilities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work under pressure and manage breakdown or shutdown scenarios

Proficient in interdepartmental coordination and team management
-
Certification in safety procedures (e.g., confined space, radiation exposure)
Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Facility Management or relevant field
-
5–7 years of experience in a similar MEP supervisory role in the GCC

Experience in scheduling and coordinating complex maintenance tasks

Ability to prioritize and manage team workloads effectively
