Stantec, a global leader in engineering, architecture, and consulting services, is hiring a Planner for a significant Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) rehabilitation and expansion project in Dubai. This full-time role is critical in ensuring that the plant operates at peak efficiency and is equipped to handle a capacity of up to 435,000 m³/day through strategic planning and construction oversight.

The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in local sewage treatment projects, combined with strong scheduling and monitoring skills. The planner will play a key role in tracking progress, analyzing deviations, and recommending actions to ensure timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Resident Engineer in reviewing the contractor’s project schedule and program.

• Monitor and track project schedules, ensuring alignment with planned timelines.

• Evaluate resource allocation (manpower and equipment) using histograms and provide recommendations to meet project goals.

• Develop and maintain planned vs. actual progress charts (S-curves, histograms).

• Track progress across all project deliverables including engineering, fabrication, and construction.

• Identify gaps between planned and actual performance and recommend corrective actions.

• Support the rehabilitation of civil works and the extension of the sewage treatment plant’s capacity:

  • Extension to 175,000 m³/day

  • Rehabilitation of existing 260,000 m³/day system

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience working on sewage treatment plant construction or rehabilitation projects.

• Strong understanding of project scheduling tools and methods.

• Ability to analyze and interpret project data and generate reports.

• Familiarity with construction processes and operational optimization in utility infrastructure.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
