Charterhouse is working exclusively with a prestigious investment management firm seeking to hire a Senior Analyst – Middle Office Operations to support their dynamic front office team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution and settlement of trades, maintaining accurate cash positions, and overseeing bank reconciliations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for comprehensive middle office functions including trade processing, documentation management, and real-time data accuracy. You will liaise closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely settlements and efficient handling of trade support operations.

In addition to operational duties, the role includes finance-related responsibilities such as general ledger maintenance, journal entry accuracy, and supporting the audit and compliance team with complete documentation and reporting. This role also requires the preparation of management reports and active participation in operational projects that enhance investment support systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily trade processing and settlements across multiple financial instruments (equities, derivatives, swaps).

  • Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash positions.

  • Maintain trade documentation and ensure data accuracy within internal systems.

  • Support finance functions, including bookkeeping and ledger updates.

  • Deliver audit trail support and prepare regulatory and internal reports.

  • Participate in cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Candidate Requirements:

  • 2–3 years of experience in a middle office, trade support, or investment operations role within the banking or financial services sector.

  • Strong knowledge of financial instruments, particularly derivatives, equities, and swaps.

  • Proven ability to produce accurate and articulate reports (verbal and written).

  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process enhancement.

  • Passion for investment operations and eagerness to contribute to a growing boutique investment firm.
