Kitopi is seeking a passionate and committed Commis Chef who specializes in Chinese cuisine to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is perfect for someone eager to grow under the guidance of seasoned professionals and contribute to delivering authentic, high-quality Chinese dishes.
Key Responsibilities

Support senior chefs in preparing a wide variety of Chinese dishes (e.g., stir-fries, dim sum, noodles, rice dishes, and sauces)

Follow recipes and food presentation standards as directed by the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef

Prep ingredients (vegetables, meats, sauces, marinades) using traditional Chinese culinary techniques

Maintain a clean and organized workstation before, during, and after shifts

Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards (HACCP/local regulations)

Participate in inventory management and stock rotation

Assist in receiving and storing kitchen ingredients and supplies

Stay eager to learn and improve your culinary skills under experienced chefs

Be flexible and proactive in supporting other kitchen operations as needed
Requirements

Minimum 1 year of kitchen experience, preferably in Chinese cuisine

Familiarity with wok cooking and basic Chinese cooking techniques is a strong plus

A genuine passion for cooking and Chinese cuisine

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and demanding environment
