Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is seeking a compassionate and skilled Staff Nurse to join the Acute Care team. This position will involve providing direct and indirect patient care to individuals of all ages, utilizing evidence-based nursing procedures and practices. The role will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality care, patient assessments, administering medications, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient well-being in the medical, neuro, and stroke units.
Responsibilities:
Patient Care:

Conduct timely patient admission and ongoing assessments, adjusting care plans as needed.

Provide direct care and evaluate outcomes based on family-centered care principles.

Monitor and document patients’ conditions and the effectiveness of care and interventions.

Assess educational needs of patients and their families, considering cultural and other special concerns.
-
Provide educational materials and validate understanding of care instructions for patients and families.

Administer prescribed medications in accordance with policies and protocols, utilizing barcode scanning.

Carry out prescribed treatments following approved guidelines and educational procedures.
Clinical/Professional Knowledge:

Apply knowledge of nursing practices and other healthcare professionals’ roles to meet patient needs.

Adhere to evidence-based practices and report any necessary changes to improve patient outcomes.

Delegate nursing care plan components appropriately to other team members.
-
Maintain confidentiality of patient and family information, ensuring professional interdisciplinary communication.

Respect patient rights and demonstrate the core values of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Integrate safety principles and the Cleveland Clinic Professional Practice Model into clinical practices.

Report errors or near misses and participate in error reduction activities.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or an equivalent qualification.
-
Minimum of three (3) years of study in Nursing from an accredited program.
Experience:
-
Minimum of two (2) years post-graduate experience in an acute care setting.
-
Note: The experience requirement is waived for UAE Nursing college graduates who have completed an approved internship.
Certification and Licensure:
-
Valid and current national nursing license.
-
BLS certification (from AHA or equivalent) required, or must be obtained within 3 months of employment.

ACLS and PALS certification relevant to the specialty required (from AHA or equivalent), or must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
Job-Specific Skills and Abilities:

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is strongly preferred.

Ability to speak and write in Arabic is preferred.
