Facilities & Services Officer

Aldar Education is hiring a Facilities & Services Officer to manage and oversee facilities and general services across the school, ensuring exceptional standards of maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency. The role also involves managing staff accommodations, vendor contracts, budgets, and supporting health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all repairs, maintenance, and inspections ensuring quality completion

  • Maintain site security and cleanliness as per health and safety standards

  • Coordinate support services such as catering, transport, waste management, etc.

  • Ensure planning and resourcing of school-based events and space utilization

  • Monitor building management systems (BMS) and act as school Incident Commander

  • Lead and manage support service teams ensuring performance and development

  • Manage facilities-related budgets and ensure cost-effective procurement

  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and internal audit requirements

  • Promote a proactive health and safety culture and monitor contractor compliance

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in a relevant field; facilities management certifications (NEBOSH/IOSH) preferred

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in facilities or education-related service roles

  • Strong communication skills in English (written and oral)

  • Excellent organizational, supervisory, and interpersonal abilities

  • Commercial acumen and the ability to influence and manage diverse teams

  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and meet deadlines
