PwC Middle East is seeking a Senior Associate for their Risk Assurance – Internal Audit (Financial Services) team. The role focuses on providing independent assessments of financial statements, internal controls, and governance, with an emphasis on risk management. The candidate will deliver end-to-end internal audit services, leveraging advanced technology like AI to optimize processes. Candidates should have experience in banking, investment risk assessments, and regulatory compliance, particularly in the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess compliance with regulations and evaluate governance and risk management processes

• Build, optimize, and deliver internal audit services, including function setup, transformation, co-sourcing, outsourcing, and managed services

• Use AI and other risk technologies to navigate disruption and protect value

• Develop meaningful relationships with clients and stakeholders

• Provide quality assurance and anticipate client and team needs

• Work with diverse teams and handle complex situations to grow personal and professional expertise

Technical Skills Required:

• Expertise in Banking and/or Investments industries

• Strong knowledge of Financial Services regulatory risk requirements

• Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis

• Experience with Model Validations, Treasury & Market/Liquidity Risk Assessments, Credit Risk Assessments, and Investment Risk Management

• Regulatory compliance knowledge (e.g., corporate governance, model risk management)

• Familiarity with CBUAE requirements is a plus

Soft Skills Required:

• Advanced project management

• Strong communication skills

• Familiarity with the local market (preferred)

Experience and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the Big 4 or Financial Services sector

• Preferably a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) or substantial experience in the Banking or Investment industry
