The Culinary Intern role at Shangri-La Hotel offers a great opportunity for individuals to gain experience in the Hot Kitchen and Cold Section. Interns will be immersed in culinary operations, learning at various responsibility levels and working closely with a professional team. A passion for hospitality and teamwork is key.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare ingredients according to recipes/menu.

  • Cook and prepare high-quality menu items efficiently and on time.

  • Test food for correct preparation and temperature.

  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and storage areas.

  • Assist hotel colleagues in maintaining service standards.

  • Support other departments when needed and be an ambassador for the brand.

  • Handle client queries/complaints with empathy and find solutions collaboratively.

Job Requirements:

  • Warm, friendly personality and a positive attitude.

  • Great teamwork skills and attention to detail.

  • Previous culinary experience in luxury hospitality is a plus.

  • Efficient, punctual, and committed to delivering exceptional service.

  • Must embody the Shangri-La values.
