Space42, a pioneering AI-powered SpaceTech company based in the UAE, is seeking a Specialist – Information Security GRC to join its team in Abu Dhabi. This role is critical in managing vendor risk, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing the organization’s overall security posture.

As part of Space42’s cybersecurity framework, the successful candidate will work across internal teams, third-party vendors, and regulatory bodies to safeguard digital operations and maintain robust compliance standards. This is a contract-based, on-site opportunity with a strong focus on operational excellence, security frameworks, and vendor oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

Vendor Risk Management:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive Information Security Vendor Risk Management framework.

• Evaluate third-party vendors for security compliance and data protection practices.

• Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to ensure contractual security standards.

• Maintain an active monitoring process for ongoing vendor compliance.

Compliance Management:

• Implement compliance frameworks in alignment with UAE and international standards (e.g., ISO 27001, ISO 27701, PCI-DSS, UAE IA, KSA CRF).

• Conduct internal audits and reviews of Cloud Service Providers and access controls.

• Monitor and report on compliance findings, training effectiveness, and risk mitigation efforts.

• Lead periodic security awareness campaigns and assessments to reinforce organizational resilience.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, IT, or a related field.

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in information security, vendor risk management, or regulatory compliance.

• Strong familiarity with industry frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and regulatory mandates such as GDPR, UAE PDPL, and KSA CRF.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, ISO 27001 LA/LI) are highly desirable.

• Skilled in conducting risk assessments, security audits, and compliance reporting.

• Strong analytical and communication skills for interfacing with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
