Aldar Education is currently hiring exceptional Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teachers for Yasmina American Academy in Abu Dhabi, starting in August 2025. Located in Khalifa City A, Yasmina American Academy offers a high-quality American curriculum from Pre-KG to Grade 5, with a focus on holistic education, innovation, and inclusive learning environments.

The SEN Teacher will play a pivotal role in supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development through inclusive strategies and engaging instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver inspiring lessons tailored to students with special educational needs.

• Collaborate with fellow teachers to ensure curriculum requirements are met and differentiated.

• Work closely with parents and professionals such as speech therapists and educational psychologists.

• Support curriculum teams, school events, and contribute positively to the wider school ethos.

• Monitor and report on student progress using assessment tools like Target Tracker.

• Manage student behavior effectively in alignment with the school’s policy.

• Participate in extracurricular activities and run a weekly ECA (Extra-Curricular Activity).

• Engage in ongoing professional development and school improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject and a recognized teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE).

• Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience, preferably in SEN settings.

• Experience working with ESL (English as a Second Language) students.

• Strong communication, teamwork, and classroom management skills.

• High level of professionalism, empathy, and child-centered mindset.

• Active participation in extra-curricular and community activities.

• Must provide a clean enhanced DBS or local police clearance.
