Catering Retail Manager

A leading organization in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Catering Retail Manager to oversee day-to-day retail operations with a strong focus on enhancing sales, service quality, and operational efficiency. This full-time, on-site role demands extensive experience in the F&B retail sector, particularly in managing events, catering, and retail outlets at high-traffic venues such as airports, lounges, malls, or exhibition centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the team of Event Managers to ensure top-notch execution of retail event operations.

  • Supervise all retail activities at the venue, ensuring timeliness, budget adherence, and quality.

  • Review catering plans to align with client needs and event objectives.

  • Assess and recommend staffing plans for each event to the Head of Operations.

  • Collaborate with the Sales Team and Event Planners to fulfill all event-related requirements.

  • Manage full event lifecycles – from setup to breakdown.

  • Maintain exceptional service standards and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations.

  • Enforce internal policies and operational procedures.

  • Foster strong relationships with clients and external stakeholders to support business growth.

  • Plan workforce schedules and leaves for the Event Managers team.

  • Oversee the upkeep and readiness of catering equipment (CCG and others).

  • Assist the Head of Operations in implementing strategic goals.

  • Design and monitor staff training programs and competence development matrices.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial/supervisory F&B retail role.

  • Strong international exposure in airports, lounges, malls, or large event venues.

  • Proven ability to manage both permanent and temporary food & beverage retail outlets.

  • Exceptional team leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field (MBA preferred).
