Philip Morris International (PMI) is looking for a Manager External Affairs to join their Global Travel Retail (GTR) team. This role involves implementing PMI’s External Affairs strategy for the GTR business across regions and markets, engaging with external stakeholders, and managing regulatory changes. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and global environment while ensuring the business adapts to regulatory changes and identifying commercial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• External Affairs Strategy:

  • Lead proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding regulatory and external affairs issues related to GTR.

  • Ensure alignment with PMI’s global external affairs strategy and departmental priorities.

• Regulatory Changes Management:

  • Manage regulatory issues across regions and ensure successful management of regulatory changes.

  • Translate strategic frameworks into actionable guidelines for launch plans and marketing operations.

  • Provide assessments and recommendations to management on regulatory issues, safeguarding the business’s future.

• Business Partnering:

  • Collaborate with operators, distributors, and business functions to advocate for regulatory issues and opportunities.

  • Ensure structured information management for all regulatory and business-related issues.

• External Engagements Management:

  • Represent the GTR team externally, maintaining strong relationships with public affairs consultancies, working groups, and industry associations.

• Proven experience managing multiple projects in a dynamic regulatory environment.

• Strong ability to adapt and thrive under pressure and ambiguity.

• Excellent project management skills, with a focus on strategic decision-making.

• Experience in managing external agencies and political consultants.
