Citi is seeking a Vice President, EMEA Markets Compliance professional for its Dubai office, working directly on the trading floor. The role involves providing compliance oversight and strategic support for wholesale markets across the Middle East, Egypt, and Pakistan, including FX, interest rate swaps, and government bond trading. The position demands hands-on compliance risk management, regulatory engagement, and a deep understanding of how global markets operate.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver expert compliance support for market transactions, ensuring regulatory adherence across jurisdictions.

Provide advice on a wide range of compliance topics—from quick policy guidance to long-term regulatory planning for market expansion.

Collaborate with global teams including Legal, Risk, Operations, Technology, and Finance.

Review new products for compliance impact and assist in training initiatives for market teams.

Respond to regulatory inquiries and support audits or examinations.

Monitor evolving regulations, ensuring the implementation of necessary controls and policy updates.

Appropriately assess and manage compliance and reputational risks across business decisions.
Required Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree; relevant certifications preferred.

Proven experience in markets compliance within a financial institution.

Strong understanding of compliance laws, regulations, and risk typologies.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently and within global matrix teams.

Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
