About the Role:

Our Tier 1 Interiors Main Contracting client is seeking a highly experienced Planning Manager to join their team in Dubai. The role focuses on high-end Interior Fit-Out, Joinery, and Refurbishment projects across the Emirates. Ideal candidates will have significant planning management experience within leading Interior Fit-Out/Main Contracting companies in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules covering task sequencing, duration estimation, and resource planning.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align planning efforts with project goals.

• Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule, proactively identifying delays or risks.

• Conduct delay analyses and communicate findings to project stakeholders.

• Facilitate regular project meetings to review schedule updates, resource management, and risk mitigation.

• Work closely with cost control teams to maintain budgets and cost forecasts.

• Optimize resource utilization by assessing project manpower and equipment requirements.

• Produce detailed weekly and monthly project progress reports for management and stakeholders.

• Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and critical equipment.

• Contribute to risk assessment and the development of contingency planning strategies.

• Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging project planning technologies.

Candidate Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.

• Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of proven experience in project planning, specifically within interior fit-out, joinery, and refurbishment sectors.

  • Experience with high-profile projects within Tier 1 Interior Fit-Out or Main Contracting companies in the UAE is essential.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Personal Traits:

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Leadership qualities to guide and coordinate cross-functional teams effectively.

  • In-depth understanding of cost control, budget management, and risk analysis.
