Government Revenues Development Specialist

The Department of Finance – Abu Dhabi is hiring a Government Revenues Development Specialist to support the planning and implementation of initiatives aimed at diversifying and enhancing non-oil government revenues. This full-time, on-site role is a key position focused on improving financial sustainability through innovative strategies aligned with Abu Dhabi’s fiscal policy. The role involves coordination with government entities, policy development, impact assessment, and revenue monitoring to ensure compliance with financial regulations and achievement of revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of government revenue diversification plans and follow up on their execution with relevant authorities.

  • Contribute to issuing instructions and tools for implementing revenue budgets aligned with financial policies.

  • Provide input and assistance on non-tax revenue development initiatives and policy formation.

  • Monitor and analyze economic and social impacts of revenue development strategies and fee changes.

  • Track and organize records of non-tax revenue collections across all government departments.

  • Identify implementation risks and provide actionable solutions to mitigate challenges.

  • Prepare detailed reports on pricing strategies, revenue progress, and development initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, standards, and cost-effective practices.

  • Assist with additional tasks and provide support to the line manager as required.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, or a related field (mandatory).

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a relevant role or similar financial/government environment.

  • Strong understanding of public finance, budgeting processes, and government revenue systems.

  • Excellent research, analytical, and report-writing skills.

  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and manage multi-agency coordination.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and policy development capabilities.
