Standard Chartered is looking for a dynamic HR Manager to join their Appro Venture team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fintech start-up disrupting the banking onboarding journey for retail clients. The HR Manager will oversee all HR functions, from talent acquisition to performance management and employee relations, working closely with the CEO and Business Development Head. This role offers a chance to help shape the company’s culture and contribute to its growth in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Hiring Process Management: Oversee recruitment, job postings, candidate selection, and offer finalization in collaboration with department heads.

Cost Analysis for Employee Onboarding/Offboarding: Conduct cost analysis for onboarding and offboarding, optimize resource allocation.

Onboarding & Offboarding: Manage the onboarding process and ensure compliant and efficient offboarding.

Regulatory Compliance & Legal Expertise: Ensure compliance with HR ministry regulations and legal requirements.

Training & Development: Design and implement training programs to enhance staff skills.

Quality Control for Sales Team: Perform quality checks for the sales team to ensure adherence to company standards.

Performance Management: Develop and manage performance review systems and implement improvement plans.

HR Data Management & Reporting: Maintain confidential HR records and analyze reports to provide insights into workforce trends.

HR Policy Development & Implementation: Develop, update, and communicate HR policies to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Business Partnering & Recruitment:

Partner with leadership to design and deliver people plans.

Develop resource acquisition strategies and manage the recruitment process.

Build an employer branding strategy to attract diverse talent.

Ensure timely contract issuance and work permit applications.
Talent & Performance Management:
-
Lead the continuous performance management approach, ensuring effective goal setting and feedback.

Implement succession planning strategies with the Leadership team.
Employee Engagement & Culture:
-
Foster positive relationships and encourage employee feedback.

Administer employee engagement surveys.
Learning & Development:
-
Conduct training needs analysis and develop training programs.
-
Implement company-wide Mentoring and Coaching programs.
Employee Relations:
-
Handle employee relations and provide coaching on team matters.
Skills and Experience Required:
-
8+ years of HR experience, with expertise in talent management, employee relations, rewards, and HR policies.

Strong knowledge of employment law and Ministry of HR regulations.
-
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high ambiguity.
-
Experience in both established and startup environments is a plus.
