Safa Community School is seeking a Careers and Universities Counsellor to provide 1-to-1 career guidance to students from Years 7-13, helping them make informed decisions about education and career paths. This role involves facilitating university applications, offering advice on global university entry requirements, and supporting students with career planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Career Guidance: Provide 1-to-1 career guidance through individual interviews for students in Years 9-13.

• Career Tools and Resources: Use tools like Unifrog to help students explore career options and track their progress.

• University Applications: Offer support to students applying to universities locally and internationally, including writing personal statements, preparing for interviews, and navigating the application process (UCAS, Common Application, Oxbridge, Ivy League).

• Special Exams and References: Administer special university entrance exams and coordinate references and recommendation letters for applications.

• Student Support: Guide students in making informed decisions about post-16 and post-18 options, including offering advice on international student requirements, funding, and visas.

• Organize Events: Coordinate higher education events, including career expos and university presentations.

• Results Day Support: Provide guidance on university choices and assist students with internships and part-time work opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:

• Degree-level qualification in Counselling or a related field.

• At least 3 years of experience as a Careers and Universities Counsellor.

• Strong knowledge of university admission processes in the US, UK, Canada, the Middle East, and internationally.

• Extensive experience with UCAS and university entry requirements.
