Job Title: Global Trade & Customs Specialist
Job Description:
We are looking for a Global Trade & Customs Specialist with strong expertise in indirect tax and international trade compliance to join our high-performing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a globally integrated Indirect Tax practice, providing strategic support to clients navigating customs regulations, tariff classifications, and import/export operations across the MENA region.
You’ll play a key role in helping multinational organizations reduce costs, improve compliance, and optimize their global trade processes. With a focus on customs advisory, risk assessment, and regulatory strategy, this role blends technical knowledge with practical business insight to deliver impactful client solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement:

Collaborate with a global team to deliver practical and tailored trade compliance solutions.

Provide ongoing support and communication to senior team members and client stakeholders.

Assist in preparing clear, insightful reports and deliverables for clients and external parties.

Build strong relationships with client personnel and internal cross-functional teams.
Technical Expertise:

Advise on international trade laws, tariff codes, customs procedures, and compliance requirements.

Analyze supply chains to uncover cost-saving opportunities, risk mitigation strategies, and operational efficiencies.

Help clients leverage Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and other customs programs to reduce duties and improve competitiveness.

Support clients during post-clearance audits and assist in building cases for customs disputes.

Utilize EY technology platforms to provide smart trade management and compliance monitoring solutions.

Stay updated on regulatory changes and provide guidance on business impacts.

Work cross-functionally with Tax, Advisory, and Assurance teams to provide end-to-end solutions.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Law, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Minimum 2 years of experience in global trade, customs, or indirect tax advisory.

Experience in a Big 4 firm is highly desirable, but relevant industry experience will also be considered.

Proven track record in customs and trade advisory.
Preferred:

Relevant postgraduate qualifications (CPA, ACA/CA, CTA, CMA, SOCPA, or equivalent).

Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Experience in multicultural, cross-functional teams.

Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Ability to work independently, manage pressure, and meet multiple deadlines.
