Business Development Manager
upGrad International Dubai , UAE

upGrad International, Asia’s largest integrated learning and career development platform, is hiring a Business Development Manager to lead its expansion efforts in Dubai and the wider UAE. This on-site, full-time role requires a dynamic and strategic individual with a background in business development, partnerships, and preferably the EdTech or education sector.

The role involves extensive client outreach, partnership management, and market analysis to drive business growth and build lasting relationships across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new leads through cold and warm outreach via email, phone, and LinkedIn

  • Conduct in-person meetings across Dubai and other emirates to engage with potential clients

  • Identify and evaluate new business and partnership opportunities

  • Track competitor activities and market trends to inform strategy

  • Develop and execute plans to expand client base and build strategic partnerships

  • Negotiate and close deals, creating impactful proposals and presentations

  • Oversee client onboarding and ensure a seamless partnership integration

  • Provide insights and reports to senior leadership based on market dynamics

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, preferably within EdTech or education sectors in the UAE

  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets and managing complex client accounts

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Proficiency in market research and CRM tools (e.g., Hubspot)

  • Strong organizational and strategic thinking abilities

  • Fluent in English; Arabic speaking/writing skills are a strong plus

  • Legally permitted to work in the UAE
