Project Controls Specialist
U+A Dubai , UAE

U+A is hiring a Project Controls Specialist to lead the planning, scheduling, and financial management of capital building projects, infrastructure, and master planning. This role requires expertise in project design stages, regulatory requirements, and in-depth knowledge of the UAE and GCC real estate market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, scheduling, and financial management of building projects, infrastructure, and master planning.

  • Provide expertise in LDC projects, capital building projects, and infrastructure.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of project control systems, including cost control, scheduling, risk analysis, and performance monitoring.

  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.

  • Manage resource planning and allocation across multiple projects.

  • Conduct Cost-to-Complete (CTC) reviews and financial forecasting.

  • Prepare and present weekly and monthly project dashboard summaries to senior management.

  • Lead change control and risk management processes.

  • Deliver consulting and advisory services to clients on project control solutions.

  • Lead and mentor project control teams to foster continuous improvement.

Key Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in project controls within engineering, architecture, consulting, or professional services.

  • Expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, Smartsheet, and MS Office (especially Excel).

  • Strong knowledge of earned value management (EVM), cost estimation, budget management, and risk analysis.

  • Experience with leading cost control systems and managing PS and variations.

  • Proficiency in digital project control tools such as PowerBI for tracking progress and resource planning.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proven ability to deliver high-value project controls services to clients.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

  • Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., PMP, CRMA, PSP) preferred.
