The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) is seeking an Assistant Manager, Social Platforms (Proximity Markets) to support regional marketing strategies and operational activities targeting proximity markets. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for professionals with experience in research, market strategy, stakeholder relations, and event coordination within the travel and tourism industry.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in market research and strategic analysis to gain deep insights into consumer behavior and market trends in proximity markets.

Support development and enhancement of the operational model, including organizational and process documentation.

Help implement and monitor regional B2B marketing strategies, preparing reports, analyses, and proposals.

Manage data collection and evaluation to assess the performance of regional marketing campaigns.

Collaborate in negotiating and managing partnership contracts with regional travel and trade partners.

Support the planning and logistics of in-market events including exhibitions, roadshows, and promotional campaigns.

Coordinate with service providers for logistics, contracts, and deliverables.

Create presentations and marketing collateral tailored to regional initiatives.

Facilitate internal coordination with DET’s central marketing teams for event execution.

Monitor third-party vendors and agencies to ensure timely and high-quality content creation and reporting.

Maintain market intelligence databases and performance metrics to track success and report on regional initiatives.

Mentor junior staff including coordinators and interns, and lead training sessions for new systems and processes.

Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders in proximity markets, fostering strategic relationships.
Job Requirements:

Strong background in regional marketing, project management, or market research.

Proven experience in organizing and managing events, partnerships, or B2B programs.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Familiarity with social media trends, content creation, and stakeholder engagement.

Ability to work cross-functionally with various internal and external teams.
-
Prior experience in tourism or destination marketing is a strong advantage.
