Job Title: Citrix Systems Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Citrix Systems Administrator to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, installing, monitoring, and providing support for the advanced functions of Citrix Systems and associated applications. You will also play a key role in troubleshooting technical issues, deploying and designing Citrix infrastructure, and ensuring seamless functionality of Citrix environments for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, install, monitor, and provide support for advanced Citrix systems and related applications, either directly or with the team.
- Take responsibility for resolving technical issues in the Citrix environment and providing efficient problem resolution.
- Install, update, and manage XenApp (Citrix virtual app) farms, design Citrix CVAD environments, and develop the infrastructure that supports Citrix farms.
- Deploy and design Citrix infrastructure, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Work hands-on with both legacy (XA6.5 & PVS) and new infrastructure (XA1912.LTSR & MCS) for Citrix.
- Set up Citrix components such as License Server, Delivery Controller, and Receiver.
- Set up XenDesktop resources including Server/Desktop OS Master Image and configure the Master Target Device.
- Create and manage Machine Catalogs and Delivery Groups according to requirements.
- Manage Citrix licensing, terminal services licensing, and Windows terminal servers.
- Oversee and manage Citrix infrastructure for multiple clients.
- Resolve technical issues within the Citrix environment.
- Create and manage High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation for the Citrix environment.
- Handle major escalations and provide third-line administrative support to resolve known issues.
- Diagnose and repair system problems, working closely with vendor support for servers, software, and hardware issues.
- Assist in defining, maintaining, and monitoring compliance with Citrix-related security and software policies for the organization.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required, based on organizational needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience working in a Citrix environment.
- Professional certification in Citrix (CCE-V, CC-EM) is required.
Technical/Work-Related Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Citrix, including Citrix Loadbalancer and XenApp technologies.
- Expertise in storage technologies and their integration with Citrix environments.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Strong presentation and documentation skills.
- Experience working with Microsoft Windows Server environments.
