The Center for Behavioral Institutional Design (C-BID) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is seeking a Research Assistant to explore the origins of human behavioral diversity, develop empirically-informed models of behavior, and design innovative institutions and policies to enhance social welfare.

This opportunity is part of the NYUAD Kawader Program, ideal for candidates with a background in Economics, Behavioral Sciences, Mathematics, or Computer Science who are passionate about experimental and empirical research.

Responsibilities

• Conduct data collection, interpretation, and statistical analysis.

• Support the development and testing of new research tools and methodologies.

• Collaborate closely with NYUAD faculty and research teams across multidisciplinary fields.

• Contribute to ongoing projects within the center’s three research clusters focused on behavioral diversity and institutional design.

• Assist in the preparation of research reports, publications, and policy insights.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics or related fields (Behavioral or Social Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science).

• Strong communication skills in English.

• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

• Demonstrated scientific creativity and analytical thinking.

Preferred Experience

• Previous research experience in behavioral social science or related fields is desirable.
