Operations Planning Lead
HALCON Abu Dhabi , UAE

HALCON, a leading regional and international defense company, is seeking an Operations Planning Lead to manage and optimize operational planning, scheduling, and coordination across all activities. This role will ensure efficient demand, production, and material planning, collaborating with Program Management, Supply Chain, Production, and Finance teams to guarantee timely delivery and optimal resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage detailed operational plans aligned with contractual obligations and business requirements.

  • Collaborate with Program, Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, and Quality Assurance teams to integrate production and project schedules.

  • Oversee demand forecasting, ensuring sufficient capacity for materials, labor, and production resources.

  • Prepare materials and data for monthly Demand and Operations Planning meetings.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Program, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing departments.

  • Ensure ERP systems (SAP APO/IBP) provide accurate real-time data to support demand fulfillment.

  • Align business units with the Master Production Plan and maintain accurate material resource planning (MRP).

  • Identify operational risks and implement contingency plans.

  • Maintain high-quality master data and streamline business processes across Plan-to-Produce, Lead-to-Cash, Source-to-Pay, and Design-to-Operate workflows.

  • Manage inventory to ensure availability of components, materials, and subassemblies for production.

  • Compile and report monthly KPIs across departments.

  • Promote lean manufacturing, process improvements, and cost-reduction initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 20–25 years of experience in operations planning and scheduling across multiple projects, with proven results.

  • Hands-on experience with MRP systems and SAP (preferably SAP APO/IBP).

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Master’s preferred).

  • Preferred: 15+ years of industry and regional experience in operations planning and scheduling multiple projects.

  • Expertise in Demand and Operations Planning within a manufacturing or defense environment.
