EthosEnergy is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to operate various machines including lathes, horizontal and vertical borers, milling machines, and others. The role ensures that work orders are completed on time, meeting required quality standards, safety, and QHSE procedures. This position is hands-on in a workshop environment, supporting manufacturing and maintenance operations for oil and gas equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate machines according to competence, manufacturer instructions, and QHSE policies.

• Inspect cutting tools and materials before starting work; report defects to the Workshop Supervisor.

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and specifications.

• Monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust controls.

• Select, align, and secure fixtures, tools, and materials for machining processes.

• Coordinate with QC Inspectors to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards.

• Maintain housekeeping and clean working area.

• Perform other related field, maintenance, or shop duties as assigned.

• Ensure proper handover of work and safety information at shift changes.

Required Skills / Knowledge:

• Expert: Advanced skills on lathes, horizontal/vertical borers, milling, and other machine types.

• Proficient: Pedestal drilling, cast machining, ball grinding, surface grinding, horizontal & vertical boring, and ball machining.

• QC experience in dimensional checks using precision measuring equipment.

• Basic math, machining knowledge, and understanding of welding.

• Good English communication skills, verbal and written.

Experience & Education:

• Minimum 3 years of machining experience, preferably in oil and gas workshop environments.

• Experience with machining API connections is an advantage.

• Education: ITI in Trade Machinist + NCVT certification.

Physical Requirements:

• Light physical effort; ability to operate machinery safely.

• May require travel across the Middle East and GCC.

• Must be fit for duty, rested, and able to perform tasks safely and efficiently.
