The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seeking a dedicated and experienced Legal Coordinator 2 to join its team in the United Arab Emirates. This is a full-time, on-site position designed to provide crucial legal administrative support to the Area Legal Counsel (ALC), helping further the mission of the Church through strategic legal operations and services.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Area Legal Counsel (ALC) with legal management and administrative functions.

Coordinate legal documentation for real estate acquisitions, lease agreements, construction projects, and risk management matters.

Manage legal compliance tasks including periodic reporting and entity maintenance.

Oversee powers of attorney, legal authorizations, and agency documents.
-
Coordinate and track assignments to external legal counsel and manage responses.
-
Administer contracts, legal databases, and invoice reviews from external counsel.

Provide support in budget management, legal training, and Church policy compliance.

Support ALC in handling government relations and liaise with various stakeholders including outside counsel, Church leaders, and government bodies.

Ensure all activities are aligned with Church policies and uphold strict confidentiality standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (as recognized in the host nation).

Minimum 8 years of management or administrative experience (legal experience preferred).

Strong oral and written communication skills in English.

Proven ability to analyze complex legal and administrative issues and communicate solutions clearly.

High-level problem-solving capabilities, initiative, and independence in managing multiple tasks.

Demonstrated commitment to the mission of the Church and active involvement in Church service and callings.

Excellent organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet research.

Knowledge of the Church’s temporal organization, policies, and operations is highly desirable.
