EY is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Manager to join its Global Compliance & Reporting (GCR) tax service line in Dubai. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for experienced tax professionals who thrive in a fast-paced, cross-border environment. As part of the MENA GCR team, you’ll lead client engagements, manage compliance and reporting needs, and contribute to large-scale tax projects across diverse industries. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring junior staff and driving business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage client engagements focused on tax compliance and reporting
  • Coordinate service delivery across EY teams in the MENA region
  • Monitor project progress, deliverables, and risks; implement performance improvements
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
  • Support business development and client network expansion
  • Coach and mentor junior team members and foster a positive learning culture
  • Ensure adherence to EY’s Tax Quality guidelines and manage engagement economics

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Taxation, or related field
  • Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in domestic and international tax, ideally in a professional services firm
  • Strong background in tax accounting and auditing
  • Proven managerial and project management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Master’s degree in a related field
  • Experience working with multinational clients in a multicultural environment
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial, legislative, and industry-specific tax issues
