Centro Hotels by Rotana is looking for a Commis I to join its kitchen team in Abu Dhabi. This on-site, full-time role is ideal for passionate and dynamic culinary professionals who take pride in delivering high-quality dishes and exceptional guest experiences. You will be responsible for supporting food preparation tasks and maintaining hygiene and food standards in line with hotel policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie with daily kitchen operations.

• Prepare food items according to standard recipes and menu specifications.

• Maintain high hygiene standards in the kitchen at all times.

• Control food inventory and reduce food waste and costs in your section.

• Manage daily mise-en-place and food production for assigned kitchen sections.

• Follow instructions from supervisors to complete daily kitchen tasks efficiently.

• Stay updated on new recipes, products, and cooking techniques.

• Coordinate with other kitchen sections to maintain cleanliness, minimize wastage, and control costs.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Completion of a professional kitchen apprenticeship or certified chef training course.

• Previous work experience in quality hotel or restaurant kitchens.

• Strong culinary and food presentation skills.

• Basic English communication skills.

• Knowledge in food preparation, preservation, and kitchen hygiene practices.
