Job Summary:

Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi is looking for a Commis Chef – Italian Cuisine to join its culinary team. The role involves preparing high-quality Italian dishes while ensuring excellence in taste, presentation, and hygiene standards. The candidate will work closely with the kitchen team to support the outlet’s operational concept and maintain the brand’s exceptional dining reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present high-quality dishes, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.

• Follow standard recipes and guidelines while maintaining Italian authenticity.

• Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and food preparation.

• Ensure all food preparation areas are clean, hygienic, and organized.

• Comply with all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.

• Work collaboratively with the kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations.

• Maintain proper stock levels and minimize food waste.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 1 year of work experience as a Commis Chef or 2 years as a Trainee in a hotel or restaurant with Italian cuisine exposure.

• Strong basic culinary skills and understanding of Italian recipes.

• Good hygiene knowledge and commitment to food safety standards.

• Passion for cooking and attention to detail.

• Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team.
