AtkinsRéalis, a global engineering services company, is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer to oversee and manage the construction of Overground stations in Dubai. The role involves supervising construction activities, coordinating with contractors and consultants, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and delivering projects on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day construction activities of Overground stations, ensuring adherence to design, safety, and timelines.

• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and design teams to resolve technical issues efficiently.

• Supervise structural works, MEP systems, tunneling, and other station components.

• Monitor project progress and mitigate delays or issues promptly.

• Review and approve construction method statements, work plans, and technical submittals.

• Conduct site inspections and quality control checks.

• Maintain detailed records including progress reports, site diaries, and meeting minutes.

• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and welfare standards.

• Manage construction staff including Assistant Resident Engineers, Site Engineers, and Inspectors.

• Coordinate commissioning and handover of stations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.

• 15–18 years of experience in Overground station construction, preferably in large metro projects.

• Strong knowledge of structural works, MEP systems, and station integration.

• Understanding of UAE regulations, safety standards, and quality control.

• Proficiency in project management software, construction scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Fluent in English; Arabic skills a plus.

• Valid UAE driver’s license preferred.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in multi-level OG station construction and complex MEP systems.

• Familiarity with metro systems and urban infrastructure projects.

• Proven ability to manage large-scale, high-complexity projects.
